Teen Art Hangout – Oct 10 @ stache studio

Let’s hang out and make some art! My goal with Teen Art Hangout is to create a safe space for art exploration, where no art is “bad art,” and the kids have fun while learning about different art mediums and elements.

Students that sign up for the whole month will receive an artist-grade mixed media art journal as part of this class and work weekly on different art challenges and activities that encourage spontaneity, original thinking, problem solving, and imagination. All of these projects will focus on the creative process instead of an end-product. (Kids that sign up for one-off classes will complete the same projects, just on a single sheet of mixed media paper instead of a journal.)

This means the kids will be able to personalize their time, using art materials that interest them the most; learn the 7 elements of art in a very natural way, and create art that is meaningful to them all while having fun and hanging out with Ms. Jessica and their peers!
