Every Thursday and Friday, you can drop in and sculpt (hand-build) with kiln-fired clay! No tickets or reservations needed. **Please note - this is NOT creating on the pottery wheel. Pottery wheels require a reservation, which can be done by searching for lessons listed at stachestudio.net/events OR requesting a lesson at stachestudio.net/shop/pottery-wheel
Pricing: $35 for 1.5 lbs of clay. This is enough to make one main project, or two small projects. If you need more clay, split the clay with a friend, or make more than two pieces, there are additional fees. The return visit to glaze or paint your piece is included in your clay play price!
How it works: The clay we use must be fired in a kiln, so after you make your piece, you'll leave it in the studio. After it's completely dried (which usually takes at least one week), we include it in our next clay kiln load. Once it's been fired, we text you to let you know your piece(s) are ready for glazing! You can drop in without appointment anytime we're open to glaze or paint your pieces. If you use glaze, we'll keep it and fire it again in the next glaze firing and it will be ready for pick up the following week. If you use paint, you can take it home the same day (but your item will not be food safe).
