Clay Sculpting – Ghosts & Ghoul Lanterns

What shapes will you choose for your lantern set? Pumpkin and skull? Ghost and zombie? Once you've built the lantern, carving any face is possible!

Even if you’ve never sculpted before, or worked with clay, we promise this project is super easy and fun. And we promise to give tons of help!  We’ll show you clay basics like scoring and slipping to attach, and how thick/thin the clay should be and then walk you through this specific project step-by-step and let you add your own twists as you’d like!

Sunset Hydro-Dipping on the Farm

Bring the family to Green Gate Farm to pick a bouquet of flowers and then hydro-dip a vase to display them in as the sun sets.

Green Gate Farm is located at 51 Camp Rd, Griffin, GA 30224. You can show up as early as 6pm to begin picking your bouquet. This is a drop-in event, meaning you can show up and get started anytime between 6-8pm but we do recommend giving yourself about an hour to pick your bouquet, dip your vase and give it a little time to dry.

Hydro-dipping is so easy that even a three-year old can do it! No need to purchase a ticket for every person that wants to attend, you're purchasing a ticket for each vase you'd like to dip. There will be 3-4 varieties of vase shapes to choose from. Then you'll purchase your u-pick bouquet cups at the flower shack on the evening of the event.

Pop Art Pet Painting – All Ages

Classical Conversations Homeschool Group

About this class:

Students will learn clay hand building/sculpting techniques such as pinch pots, coils and slabs and use these methods to create a vessel out of clay. 
Students will learn about clay, glazes, and take a kiln room tour during this first visit.
The projects will be fired in the kiln and the group will return to glaze these items (this is included in the ticket price) 
On the second visit, students will be reminded about clay and glaze, and how to properly apply glaze with a brush. 
One more firing and then the pieces will be ready to take home to display. 
Each session should take roughly 1.5 hours.
