It's time to prepare for the FOURTH ANNUAL Gnome Roam!

Drop-In Clay Play

stache studio 116 S. 6th Street, Griffin, GA, United States

Every Thursday and Friday, you can drop in and sculpt (hand-build) with kiln-fired clay! We have a slab roller, cookie cutters, forms and step-by-step tutorials that help you create mugs, trays, votive candle holders, figurines and more. Plus our helpful instructors are on hand to give you tips and tricks for making successful projects. All ages are welcome to get creative with clay. Ages 7 and under may need a little extra help from a parent to have a successful project. Every Thursday and Friday, you can drop in and sculpt (hand-build) with kiln-fired clay! No tickets or reservations needed. **Please note - this is NOT creating on the pottery wheel. Pottery wheels require a reservation, which can be done by searching for lessons listed at stachestudio.net/events OR requesting a lesson at stachestudio.net/shop/pottery-wheel

Pricing: $30 for 1.5 lbs of clay. This is enough to make one main project, or two small projects. If you need more clay, split the clay with a friend, or make more than two pieces, there are additional fees. The return visit to glaze or paint your piece is included in your clay play price!
How it works: The clay we use must be fired in a kiln, so after you make your piece, you'll leave it in the studio. After it's completely dried (which usually takes at least one week), we include it in our next clay kiln load. Once it's been fired, we text you to let you know your piece(s) are ready for glazing! You can drop in without appointment anytime we're open to glaze or paint your pieces. If you use glaze, we'll keep it and fire it again in the next glaze firing and it will be ready for pick up the following week. If you use paint, you can take it home the same day (but your item will not be food safe).

Teen Art Hangout – Sept Monthly Discount

stache studio 116 S. 6th Street, Griffin, GA, United States

Let's hang out and make some art!

My goal with Teen Art Hangout is to create a safe space for art exploration and learning where no art is bad art.

Students will receive an artist-grade mixed media art journal as part of this class and work weekly on different art challenges and activities that encourage spontaneity, original thinking, problem solving, and imagination. All of these projects will focus on the creative process instead of an end-product.
This means the kids will be able to personalize their time, using art materials that interest them the most; learn the 7 elements of art in a very natural way, and create art that is meaningful to them all while having fun and hanging out with Ms. Jessica and their peers!
